Once Upon a Wednesday…I started my blog

This was the original intention when I started my blog Once Upon a Wednesday back in 2018. I was a stay at home mom for 12 years drowning under the weight of motherhood and the world’s expectations. I was looking for something, anything to make me feel like me again after walking away from corporate in pursuit of white picket fence dreams. I thought being a mom would fulfill me and that motherhood was my life’s purpose. 12 years, 4 kids, and a whole lot of tears later, I could finally admit that motherhood didn’t fulfill me in the way they had promised.

What comes after the happily ever after?

This was the question that led me to start seeking answers for myself, to get honest about what I really wanted, and to reconcile that with what I thought was required to make me a good wife, woman, and mother.

And so Once Upon a Wednesday blog was born to help me (and other women), learn how to fuck the rules, write our own, and create true happily ever afters (no prince charming or perfect mothering required).

Seven years and over a half a million dollar life coaching business later, I’m still blogging.
